Sodium gluconate is the sodium salt of gluconic acid, produced by fermentation of glucose. It is a white to tan, granular or crystalline powder, very soluble in water.

Uses:
Sodium Gluconate is a much appreciated chelating agent and forms stable chelates with calcium, iron, copper, aluminium and other heavy metals. It is also a highly efficient set retarder and a good plasticiser / water reducer for morter, concrete, gypsum. It is also used to clean metal and glass with applications such as bottle washing etc.
